Who We Serve

Vittoria House is open to women age 18 and over who have voluntarily committed to recovery. We value diversity and do not discriminate on race, gender identity, religion, or background.

  • Women 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum 30 days free from alcohol and all non-prescribed drugs
  • Voluntary and sincere commitment to a recovery-focused lifestyle
  • Willing to participate in weekly house meetings and community activities
  • Able to meet program fees (payment plans considered)
  • Women on MAT under physician care are welcome
  • Expectant and parenting women welcome - PROUD program partners available
  • Women with legal involvement - evaluated individually
DMHAS Required Notice

Hartford Women's Recovery - Vittoria House is a non-clinical peer recovery residence operated by Dime Shac Foundation Inc. This facility is not a licensed drug or alcohol treatment program and does not provide medical, clinical, or therapeutic services. We provide safe, structured, substance-free housing and peer support. For clinical treatment, contact a licensed provider or call 211 Connecticut.

Step by Step

The Intake Process

We aim to make the admissions process as straightforward and compassionate as possible.

Call or Submit an Application

Call 860.698.5540 for an immediate phone screening, or complete our online application. A referral partner can also submit on your behalf via our referral form. We respond within 24 hours.

Phone Screening

A brief conversation to confirm eligibility, review current bed availability, and answer any questions. If you meet initial criteria, we'll move forward.

Disclosure Review & Tour

Complete the DMHAS Sober Living Disclosure Form and schedule an in-person or virtual tour. Meet the team, review house rules, and discuss your resident agreement.

Move-In Day

Move-in appointments are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Bring your ID, required documents, any prescribed medications with documentation, and your initial program fee deposit. Welcome home.

What to Bring

  • Government-issued photo ID (state ID, driver's license, or passport)
  • Social Security card or documentation
  • Completed and signed Resident Agreement
  • Completed DMHAS Sober Living Disclosure Form
  • All prescription medications in original pharmacy bottles
  • Documentation from prescribing physician for any MAT medications
  • Initial program fee
  • Personal clothing and toiletries (limited storage - bring essentials)
  • Insurance card or documentation of coverage
  • Emergency contact names and phone numbers
Financial Commitment

Program Fees

Fees support certified housing and peer support services. We work individually with every resident to build a plan that supports - not burdens - recovery.

Self-pay. Payment plans, benefit assignment (SSI/SSDI), and third-party payer arrangements are available. Do not let finances stop you from reaching out - we will work with you.
