Everything you need to make a confident referral to Vittoria House
Hartford Women's Recovery - Vittoria House is a CTARR-certified, NARR Level II women's recovery residence in Hartford, CT. We are equipped to serve women referred by hospitals, detox facilities, probation and parole programs, drug courts, CCAR coaches, and social service agencies. Our admissions team responds to all provider referrals within 2 business hours.
Hartford Women's Recovery is fully MAT-friendly. Residents on physician-prescribed MAT - including buprenorphine, methadone, and naltrexone (Vivitrol) - are welcome and will not be denied residency solely on that basis.
All MAT medications must be documented with a current prescription and stored securely. We actively coordinate with prescribing physicians and outpatient providers to support each resident's treatment plan.
Hartford Women's Recovery maintains naloxone (Narcan) on-site at all times. Staff are trained in overdose recognition and naloxone administration. Residents are educated on naloxone use during orientation.
In the event of a suspected overdose, staff are trained to call 911 immediately and administer naloxone. CT's Good Samaritan Law (CGS §54-56r) provides legal protection for individuals who seek emergency assistance for an overdose in good faith.
Hartford Women's Recovery does not discriminate in admission, services, or treatment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. We are committed to serving all women equally and with dignity.
We accept referrals for women involved with the criminal justice system, including probation, parole, drug court, and pre-release programs. Legal involvement is evaluated individually - it does not automatically disqualify an applicant.
We cooperate with probation and parole officers, respond to verification requests in a timely manner, and report compliance or violations as required by supervision conditions.
Hartford Women's Recovery - Vittoria House is a NARR Level II peer recovery residence. We are not a licensed drug or alcohol treatment program and do not provide medical, clinical, or therapeutic services on-site. We actively coordinate with outpatient treatment providers, MAT prescribers, and clinical case managers to support each resident's individualized recovery plan.
